Houston's Rainchild is a hard hitting progressive grunge band with a modern twist. Their musical preferences include bands from the same genre of Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, and Blue October.
The band was formed by guitarist Jason Degge and his childhood friend, who also happens to be the belting front man, Dustin Condon. The line-up became complete in 2014 when Indianapolis drummer Matt McClain and H-town bassist Ty Gore joined ranks.
Their first collaboration was the combination single and music video 'Watershed' which was released in 2014. Rainchild recorded 'The Sound' in 2015, as well as a 5-song acoustic EP titled, “Thorns” in 2016.
The band touts awards from 94.5 “The Buzz”, Texas Buzz Awards with Dustin being awarded Vocalist of the Year (2x) while the band collectively was awarded Rock Band of the Year.
They have been fortunate enough to share the stage with countless talented touring artists such as; Black Stone Cherry, Dennis Quaid and The Sharks, Drowning Pool, Filter, Hinder, Robby Krieger, Puddle of Mudd, The Hunger, and many more.
In 2020, the band will be releasing their first full-length album, “Nebula” produced by Jim Finley productions out of Santa Monica, CA. A tour is currently in the works for 2020 to promote the album.
Rainchild is proudly endorsed by Austin Speaker Works (Austin, TX) and D &A Guitar Gear (Los Angeles, CA).
